The instrument features a ash body in a black finish and a bolt-on maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard and white dot inlay. The easily accessible truss rod allows for adjustment to prevent the neck from bowing.

The bass is equipped with a Sterling by MusicMan designed alnico humbucker pickup. An active 3-band preamp with three tone controls, 3-way pick-up selector, and single volume control allow you to dial in your perfect bass tone. Additionally, the Ray35 is fitted with chrome hardware, a heavy-duty fixed bridge, and a set of open gear tuners on the matching 4 over 1 headstock.
