Fernandes Retrospect 5 X Electric Bass Guitar 2011 Edition. This Fernandes classic still stands the test of time. Pro quality and features, yet inexpensive, this maple-neck, alder-body and vintage-style-pickup low-end machine is set to rip any stage.

Retrospect series models are all about bringing vintage concepts back to life and infusing them with modern Fernandes styling and tone. Retrospect 5 X might look like a vintage Jazz Bass to an uneducated eye, but experienced axemen know that there`s a lot more to this five-stringer. Solid and double-cut body does feature offset waist, flat top and bolt-on neck joint. It is made of alder, as well, but this is where the similarities stop and Fernandes magic kicks in. Passive pickups on the top are installed in the J/J (single/single) configuration and are followed by a three-piece control’s unit (volume/volume/tone). Neck on this model is made of maple and it`s equipped with a modern and fast contour in the back. Rosewood fingerboard on the top features 22 jumbo frets with dot inlays.
